| He should not even be considering a new job until he finishes his old one! The hell if I'd let him coach the Fiesta Bowl...However, looks like we might not have any options or we could lose the buyout. He supposedly resigned as of Jan 3. If WVU fires him before then, he doesn't have to worry about the buyout. I think I'd take a 4 million dollar loss and say go the hell on!!!! |

| While it sucks to see him go, it's the best for him. He probably wants to coach professional football at some point, and Michigan is a higher profile program. Granted, they are coming off their worst season in years, but Coach Rod should be able to coach them out of an assbeating by Division II teams. This has been a fantastic year for WVU football, but its been filled with downers. A BCS bowl is huge, but when you sit back and look at the expectations we all had its a kick in the ass. Now the salt in the wound is that White and Slaton will likely leave for the NFL because they aren't about to learn a new coach's system. This hit makes it hard to finish strong in the bowl game, but hopefully the players can make it happen. We have alot of talent in the pool at WVU, and we can't put up with the "coaching carousel" Rich Rod kept putting us through. Feeling the need to close on a positive note, Belien is 4-7 at Michigan this year. We got Coach Huggins after we were all crushed that Belien left. Who's next for WVU? We don't have the answer, but we're a program you can't keep down for long.

| But with all the press flooding the web I can't find a decent quote. He's a hypocrite for being proud to coach for his home town and then just leave his players. In the words of my brother, "F- him and good riddance". |

| Yep, onward and upward. He fucked us and he is from West Virginia. It's not michigans fault, they needed a coach and les miles said no way.. so they went down the ladder till someone accepted. Enter Coach Rod. Much respect for LSU's head coach. No respect for Rod. |

| Michigan is a high profile big tradition school of course . but the situation is different. he is leaving behind one of the most talented teams in college football. if you cant win a national championship with our roster then you cant win one at Michigan ! o yea APP St. beat michigan this year .. but you know App St. came to MORGANTOWN and got that offense from Coach Rod and the Moutaineers.

| I actually like Michigan, my brother had been a fan of their program when I was younger. |

| This seems totally unfair that these schools should even be allowed to look for another coach before the BCS is finished. Could you imagine Tressell doing this? I am totally disappointed in RR. He lied- said just a few weeks ago that he wasn't going to leave. Doesn't sound like Joe Manchin appreciates it much either. Anyone know who will be coaching during the Fiesta Bowl? |
