I didn't but one of my sons changed his major several times. Now he has a Masters degree from Missouri State as well as a couple of other degrees.

I changed my major 3 times over the course of my college career. And the funny thing is my current job doesn't relate to any of them!

Hi Shell78. My son isn't working in any of his majors either. He's teaching school instead. He just loves it and is really good with the kids. I think after going to school for so many years, he decided he wanted to keep going.

I only changed my major once and it was fairly early on so it didn't affect my education at all. Unfortunately I am not working in the field either so sometimes I think that was a big waste of four years, but on the other hand I can still tell people that I have post secondary education.

It took my youngest son a fifth year to graduate due to his change in his major so it was somewhat costly. Fortunately his first four years were on a scholarship so it wasn't too bad.

My mind was bothered by trying to speak German. So I switched to Comp Sci (um, after a week I dropped all my German) and I never looked back. Now I speak Java and C instead of German. And it makes a whole lot more sense.
