Pitt is a classless team that gave us every reason to walk all over them, and we didn't. We kept to our game, and we lost.

Now we get a crappy Orange Bowl game against Va Tech and all the sentimental crap that will go with it. How many fluff stories will we have to endure about the shooting and how they have inspired the team to greater things?

Your coach can't even walk on his own two feet right. Class on the field is defined by sportsmanlike behavior, and with the personal fouls your team exibited, they obviously have no class. Even the refs didn't want you to win. And yeah, you're right, your overall win/loss is horrible, that's why you aren't going to a bowl game. Just keep pouring your steel, and remember, without our coal, your whole city is NOTHING.

Eh, ya had to see this coming -- I mean, playing WVU is all that they have. Pitt has huge respect for our team which is why this game was such a big deal to them. If we had beaten Pitt its not like I wouldve searched for a Pitt message board to rub it in their faces. Who cares? Pitt will always be Pitt.

They have a good history, I'll give them that. Like you said, they found the cheese this year and thats about it.

13 points is hardly "owning" us, but they have had their day now. Its time to move on and play in January. Pitt fans have to wait a long time before they get to see anything worthwhile. Kudos to them and their team this time, but really, what have they had to cheer about during the Wannstedt years? Nothing. We can throw them a crumb every now and then. Whats the meaning of the word OWN anyway? How can you OWN us when we basically have given you the right to keep your coach by not winning the game? If we would have won, he probably would have been ousted. So you basically didn't have much to do with any of it, you just sat on the sidelines and watched. You're the one who is fighting a losing battle Nuton, and until you realize that, and start cheering for your team instead of bashing others you will never be able to savor a win. We were just fine until you came on our boards. I never came on your boards and talked smack about your team.

I was actually interested in seeing THE BACKYARD BRAWL and thats what I got, the pinnacle a 100 years of competitive sports between two teams that have a fierce rivalry. You won the game. That doesn't give you free reign to bash us for losing- you know whats that's called? BEING A POOR WINNER- and maybe thats what Pittsburgh is all about, I don't know since I haven't spent a lot of time there. But what I do know is, your city's economy is going down the tubes, and if it wasn't for us, you wouldn't be able to produce your steel. So it makes no sense to come on here and bash us when we're the ones helping you.

You football team beat us. I was going to write fair and square but due to the many miscalled penalties, I cannot.

So if you want to join us for Mountaineer football talks, then step right up with your opinion- but if you're just concerned with being a sort-of terrorist towards our humble little website then remember who you're dealing with. Our admins and myself are able to do whatever we want to your whole internet existance.

And if you're wondering why Mountaineer fans are so hostile towards you, try looking in the mirror. You might be surprised to know that your enemies rend you when you judge. I'm sure crime rates with guns are a LOT higherin your city than in Morgantown, but of course you're not a resident of our fine state to know what it's like. I certainly wouldn't want to walk around the slums of Pittsburgh at night without protection. We have concealed weapons permits here. If someone wants to wave a gun in your face without pointing it at you then they have a right to. It's your chickenshit fear that keeps you away from us.

And, good. We don't want you here. So keep pouring your steel, and remember, some of us are or used to be STEELER fans just because we like(d) your city and your team.

All I can say is that the game was a bad game, the only bright spot really was the Freshman RB for Pitt, he had quite a game. Miscalled penalties or not, we should've won the game by a couple of touchdowns. I can't pin the game on the refs. We called some very bad plays and coughed up the ball when we shouldn't have.

I'm glad Nuton came on and started the heated discussion. Everyone is welcome to express their opinion, WVU fan or otherwise.

They won, we lost. Its a game. We still had a hell of a year and we have to concentrate on our new opponnent, Oklahoma.
