Cool What's next?

There's a silver lining, here people.

Lets take some joy for a moment and remind ourselves that while Pitt won the battle, they've continually lost the war and they couldn't smell a bowl game even if it were played in the Petersen Events Center.

Wannstedt got a contract extension, which means we can look forward to a bad Pitt team until 2012.

Moving forward, our beloved 'eers won the Big East title outright and will be playing in a BCS bowl. Probably the Orange Bowl vs. Virginia Tech, another great rivalry.

We've got a lot of time off between now and the bowl game, so try not to think about last night's "nightmare" (as Coach Rod put it) and look forward to a prestigious bowl appearance and another opportunity to show that the 'eers don't quit.

Upsetting VT would go a long way into cementing our status at the end of the year and prepare us for a high preseason ranking next year.

Our team will be older, stronger, wiser and better prepared for the National Title hunt. And remember, Pitt will still eat shit.

Hey, what happened? Somebody didn't show up for yesterdays game. Not as good as everyone thought they were I see. Well, there is always as they say the CRAP bowl.

While I wont argue the first part of your post, I would hardly call the Orange Bowl a "crap" bowl.

We will beat them the next time around. At least most of the players on our team got over the loss. Pitt is still harping about their win and making themselves look bad.

That's right sportstar, we're looking to the future against Oklahoma at the fiesta bowl in Arizona. Nothing like some warm weather and some football.

Default Did you see Schmitt?

He had his head high and there wasn't a frown on his face after the game. I think he is a model for us fans. I'm just glad National Championships are decided at the end of the season, otherwise I wouldn't already have the finality of the season to keep me from feeling let down. We played some great football this year...and *hint hint* if PAT WHITE comes back....*ahem*....we will be seeing good things from WVU in the future.

I think good things will be happening even without White and Slaton -- Brown and Devine are no slouches.

"I think good things will happen even without White and Slaton...Brown and Devine are no slouches..."

somehow I was reminded of burning couches with that sentence.
