Default Rodriguez headed to Michigan?

Has he been talking to Beilien?

Quote:
As first reported by Sporting News Radio correspondent Michael Bradley, Rodriguez and his agent are in Toledo, Ohio, today to negotiate with Michigan athletics director Bill Martin and university president Mary Sue Coleman. The Detroit Free-Press later confirmed Bradley's report through two sources.
Quote:
Michigan's search for a replacement for Lloyd Carr over the past month has been a fiasco. LSU's Les Miles pulled out of the running, and Rutgers' Greg Schiano rejected overtures.

Earlier this week, a source close to Steve Sarkisian told Sporting News that the USC offensive coordinator had been contacted. Others have reported that Ball State coach Brady Hoke had had informal discussions with Michigan officials.
Will the coaching courting carousel ever stop for Rich Rod as long as he stays at WVU?

Hopefully this is a leveraging ploy to get the facility upgrades he wants out of Pastilong and the athletic department.

Default "Going to practice"

From what I've read Rich Rod doesn't look like he's made up his mind yet. He was seen getting into a car and was quoted as saying "I'm going to practice, going to practice". Here's some further information about this.

Default Good couches will always be courted...

Unfortunately with success comes the fact that others will want to take it from you. Coach Rod has been a class act so far, but i think if he did in fact interview with Michigan without informing the WVU Athetic Department, especially after last years Alabama attempts, it is a pretty classless act.

I wouldnt blame him for "talking" to Michigan and seeing what they would offer, or even taking the job IF they offered a large raise and WVU couldnt match it.

I would imagine his wife is having some imput this weekend, just as she did last year, before he makes a decision. Lets hope she can talk him into staying.

Default I would

He shouldn't even be considering a different job now that he's going to the Fiesta Bowl. A move like that loses him respect amongst his fan base, and ultimately will cause some dissention amongst the team.

lol @ "good couches" though, shouldn't it be "Good couches will always be burned?"

Thumbs down

i literally just received word that coach rod told the team in a meeting today that he's heading to michigan. welcome to the "coaching carousel" WVU. i love wvu football but you cannot deny that michigan is a much more lucrative job oppurtunity.

Don Nehlen Lead the mounties to 2 national championship matches... let's bring someone on who has a bit of maturity. Leaving your team before they play Oklahoma in a bowl.. not so mature.
