Default Placing a Bet

Unless I'm mistaken, if Pat White placed a bet for or against a team other than his, he should be allowed to do so. The NCAA may have different ideas about this kind of behavior than I do, however. I think that gambling/betting on sports teams by sports players should be legal as long as the bet isn't placed by his/her said team. Regulation may be a problem, but really, what regulation works anyway? Just about anything can be rigged- with the exception of something like dog racing.
