Default Coach Stewart - New Head Coach for the Mountaineers!

Coach Bill Stewart will be the mountaineer's new Head Coach! He landed a 5 year $800,000 per year coaching position after beating the sooners.

I personally think the guy deserves the job. He turned a bad situation and made it a really good one. Let's give him his chance at coaching the team we all love.

Quote:
Stewart, 55, native of West Virginia, has been an assistant coach most of his career, at colleges and in the Canadian Football League. His lone head coaching job was at Virginia Military Institute, where he went 8-25 over three seasons.

Don Nehlen, the former Mountaineers coach who hired Stewart, said Thursday he was glad his former assistant had landed the job.

Default Congratulations Coach Stewart and the Faithful Mountaineers

Congratulations to Coach Stewart and The Faithful Mountaineers!
You made us proud in the Fiesta Bowl!
Much success to the Seniors and to those going Pro! Owen, you'll be a fine addition to any NFL Team!

Still think what Rod did is the lowest thing to do to his team and followers. Many friends can't help believe he sent in plays to throw the PITT game. Something definitely wasn't right that night.

I think Coach Stewart did an excellent job last night, and I also think we have many years of great WVU football to look forward to with him at the helm. I just wish other people would look at it the same as we do.

I personally wish Ken Kendrick would just take his money and shut the hell up.

Has Kendrick rendered an opinion of Stewart or said anything negative about him being named head coach? He is mad at Pastilong and Parsons in the athletic dept. I do not think he has been critical of the players and coaches.

Please disregard my earlier statement above. I just saw it on PTI. I agree, Kendrick should keep his mouth shut and give Coach Stew a chance.

Still, I think we are very fortunate to have Stewart take the new coach decision out of Pastilong's hands with the win last night. I had also lost confidence in the process, their ability to find a good replacement.

First, thank God I found this site. People on ESPN are nuts!

I felt more pride last night and this morning for WV Football and WVU than I have in years. Thank you WVU Head Football Coach Bill Stewart. You did good.

And to Richy Rich and his cry baby supporter Kendrick

Welcome to the site! The people on ESPN are ruthless towards our football club. Most are probably pissed off they lost money last night. I think the mountaineers proved to the nation that we're one hell of a force on the football field. We're one of those teams that people dread playing.

Let's look at things hypothetically. We stomped the hell out of OU. OU beat Missouri 2x, Texas, OSU, and A&M. Missouri beat Kansas, Arkansas, K state, Illinois, Nebraska, and Texas Tech (hell they beat everyone except oklahoma twice). LSU lost to Arkansas, but let's not get started on what I think about LSU.

Everyone can see where I'm going with this. I guess we can sum this up with West Virginia (WVU) could beat any college football team in the nation.

Kendrick can take his money all the way to Michigan and support Fraudriguez there. WVU was more pumped up last night than for any regular game all season long. Yah, it was a bowl game, but the Pitt game was THE game of the year. Forget the BCS Championship - if you didn't get by Pitt there was no championship game, so basically the Pitt game WAS the big game of the season. Fraudriguez can take his arrogant ass to Michigan! Let Coach Stew run the show. I saw the press conference on ESPN news and Stewart is a down home guy who is smart enough to put quality people around him for the good of all. A very humble man who appears to have more character in his right hand ( as he said a gentleman's negotiator) than Coach Rod had in his whole body!
