Default How Do You Celebrate New Year's?

For many years while my four kids were still at home, we cooked steaks on the grill and had a fancy dinner in an effort to keep everyone home and off the streets. Now they are all gone and we usually go to a movie in the afternoon followed by a nice dinner somewhere. We are usually home by early evening and watch the happenings on tv. I guess we aren't too wild and crazy.

I used to go out every year my husband is a musician and he plays every new years eve, however now i have to daughters 3 and 6 and that just changes everything, i will watch the ball drop with them on our big screen tv and we blow horns and have goodies. I would not want to spend new years eve any other way. Happy new years to all.

My husband and I go out to my grandma's for New Years Eve and we play board games & cards & stuff with my family while the babies play and eat dinner and eat pretty much all night. Getting closer to midnight.. They turn on the ball in New york to watch it drop on TV and most of us go outside and shoot off fireworks and stuff. It's fun..

I go out with my friends and party, then we go in front of the electronics store and watch the New York City countdown. After that we usually end up sleeping in the van.

Yeah, I am but that wasn't the only reason we slept in the van. All four sets of our parents wouldn't let us come home drunk and they told us to sleep it off in the hotel. We didn't have enough money so we just bought food and blankets then slept in the van. It was cold but it was fun.
