Default No More Long Breaks

My son brought it to our attention the other day that this is the first year ever, that he hasn't had about a month long break for the holidays. My daughter said, "Welcome to the real world". My son graduated from college last December and is now part of the working world.

Yes, he is in the cruel, harsh work world now. He has a job already in a bank. He seems to like it. He has good hours and clean surroundings which is what he wanted. He really did miss the nice long semester break though.

Actually my son graduated with a degree in Education for math and science. After his student teaching, he decided he didn't want to teach. He's always been good with numbers, record keeping and stats so thought he would like banking.

So, yes banks will accept people with unrelated degrees. They also use a lot of computers. If you think you would like banking, put in your application at all those banks that are in your location. He really likes it.

Your welcome. You also have a lot of computer knowledge to your benefit. My son doesn't have very much of that. In fact, he doesn't like computer stuff very well at all.

He has been learning a lot since he started working at the bank.

Don't give up on yourself. I'm sure your parents won't give up on you either. My son got a bit discouraged before he got his job....especially since he had planned for 4 years to be a teacher and then decided during student teaching that he didn't like it.
