Thank you for the time you have taken to put these videos together. As a woman just getting into MMA it is sometimes hard to get the guys to slow down and explain things in a way I can understand. I really appreciate your demeanor. It is obvious you care about what you do.

I dont know how good she is but its interesting learn from a female. I can tell she has thought about this and I figure females have to move even better than men on the ground to be good. they have more adjustments to make to become stronger. I like her video about the elbow tucked in in the half gaurd. I knwo not to leave elbows out but I never thought about the way she shows from the side mount and half gaurd makes perfect sense

It's not about 'maiming' and 'killing' - it's about controlling. That why the submissions are called 'holds' and not 'breaks'. ;-) As far as being a 'magnet for sociopaths'- I would say that that's more true of MMA than BJJ. Truly crazy people usually don't have enough control over themselves to ever get truly good at BJJ (though I have known a few exceptions to that rule...). For me, BJJ is more about courage, and honor, and personal freedom, than it is about hurting people. Jess

what lead to your interest inBJJ? For me on the outside looking in it seems like your studying medical science only strictly to maim and kill.I mean have you seen BJJ as a magnet for sociopaths?
