Yeah I remember Wesker admiting that as well, I believe he should in theory also say that in this game, cuz it shouldn't b complete without it would it? Ah, how great the original was, and Wesker had the only relatively decent voice and dialogue in that game!

EVERYONE HOLD UP!!! It's simple who killed Enrico. It's Wesker, not Barry. look closely at the boots of Enrico's assasin. Pause it when it shows the boots walking away on 4:32 if u notice, Barry's boots have a visable red color around the outline of his boots, while Wesker's is all black like everyone else's. Even in Jill's scenario the boots are WAY more clearly shown. Plus the gunshot sound is of the S.T.A.R.S. Berretta Handgun, not Barry's 44. Magnum. .
