I think Matsuda is the true hero of Death Note. Syrsly. It's all about him, and his coming of age. How he grows up, questions the pro-Kira and anti-Kira ideologies of the world, deals with the loss of the Chief, and learns to confront the fact that his idol, Light, is truly an evil, murdering bastard. And then he shoots the hell out of him. Matsuda is awesome. XD (I'm... mostly joking? Yeah.)
