Yes well it's alright in saying that but Universal Pictures bought the rights to King Kong so Universal could do whatever they wanted with it so there are no copyright projections if Universal have bought ALL the rights in full.

when the Curtiss's go past Kong they make the same noise that would be later used in Von Richthofen and Brown

Mr. Rockmeistro. The B&W looks fake to you because you are so spoiled rotten by today modern comp. graphics, I-phones and adult shot on videotape trash. You lack the capabilty to "Suspend your DisBelief". Every production every made is fake, but can you pretend it's not fake? If you are spoil rotten to the core, you will not be able to do it. If someone used their full copy right protections, they could tell slobs like PJ "Hands off my Monster!" By law he would not have been able to make it.

King Kong had inspired P. Jackson to be a director in the first place, eversince he became one he had always dreamed of remaking it to todays standards, visually. And how can you say he isn't an original monster maker? Have you seen LOTR's ? Sure he didn't make up the idea of orcs, trolls, etc. But at least he created something that has been called one of the greatest visual onscreen projects ever. Oh and the old K.K. looks fake, color or no color it still looks fake, but a classic nonetheless.

I was born in the 1960's A.H. Mr. Engage. But I have a true apprication for originality and Noir black and white. Taking old classics like King Kong and colorizing them to make them hopelessly fake is not my bag. Or have directors like lard belly Peter Jackson who can't come up with and orignal monster of his own, so mindlessly exploit something that was created long before he was even born.

Peter Jackson can go to hell. The trouble with todays movie-makers is that they can't come up with anything original. "King Kong" (1933) was one of the finest horror classics evermade. The Gorgeous Black and White help you do suspend you believe. Most of you have no idea how extrodinary it was to go to the theatre in 1933 take a seat an be taken into anothe work. This colorizing garbage thing, does make it look fake.
