Original text follows, but the results are in now (check out the video). Suffice it to say that the "trooper" lied on the stand! He has no respect for himself or for his uniform. What happened in court was un-American. Even the bible states: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." This guy is gonna burn in hell! This is what I wrote originally: You are the jury in this case! Hello everyone. I know the quality of this video is poor, but I did not create it. This video is actual evidence that came from a state trooper's car, showing me getting pulled over for speeding on the evening of Thanksgiving 2006. The video shows, after watching carefully, a second car (in this case a so-called smoking gun or grassy knoll) which was speeding over 90 MPH and almost hit me! I realize that I play the same part over and over again, forward and back, because the key evidence is present only for a second. The question is: Can you, the video viewer, see the dot moving forward (and reverse when I play backwards) and get this this is in fact a second car? I'm posting the video here, with my story. I hope to see, in the court of the internet, if you would you find me guilty based on the evidence and my statement. Or should I plead guilty because I don't have a chance? The officer gave me a ticket becase he said he paced my car...he never got a chance to use radar. he laso pased the speeding vehicle (a white car) from a local lane, I was across a divider in the express lane. The reality is, as I've been told my by laywer, that it doesn't matter if I'm guilty or the evidence can't prove me guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Unless I can prove myself innocent beyond ANY doubt, I'm guilty because the police officer says so! What country are we in? Are local municipalities in such trouble that they have to intimidate and prey on drivers like myself to pay huge fines and huge fees to local lawyers? Either way, I'm paying close to $1,000 because the officer stopped me instead of the actual offender. What happened: I was driving on the Garden State Parkway, in the express lanes, on the evening before Thanksgiving. The weather conditions were very bad: There was a Nor'easter storm and my truck was swaying on the road. I had my cruise control set at 65 MPH. I was in the left lane because of occasional puddles on the right side. Suddenly, from the rear view mirror I saw a car coming toward me at a very high speed. I tried to get to the right lane, but he was in the right lane and, realizing he didn't have time to change lanes, I swerved back to the left lane to avoid a collision. A few seconds later, I noticed a car crossing from the local lanes and then I realized it was an officer in pursuit of the speeding car. I hesitated, because I wanted to give the officer the safest possible path to apprehend the speeding car. I put my blinker on and moved over to the right lane. A few seconds later, I realized that the officer had mistaken me for the speeding car and he proceeded to pull my over. I stated to the officer that I had my cruise control set at 65 MPH and that I was not speeding, but as you can see in the video, he did not give me the opportunity to speak and he issued me 3 summonses! Driving Record: My license abstract shows no points for the last 10 years and no speeding tickets for almost 20 years. Evidence to support my story: • As you can see in the video, the official video shows the second car moving in front of me for a second before the police car crosses into the express lane and moves behind me. Of course my vehicle blocked the view of the speeding vehicle. • On the video: The officer stated there were no other cards on the road. • On the video: I tried to explain to the officer that my GPS would show my current and maximum speed. • The E-Z Pass toll (A New Jersey thing) that I paid automatically showed that I passed the tool gate at 11:42, I was pulled over 12:00 midnight 18 miles further. This indicated that I covered 18 miles in about 18 minutes, corroborating my statement to the officer that my cruise control was set at 65 MPH or less (one mile/minute is 60 miles/hour). • On the video: I got out of the car and made sure I knew when the officer pulled me over, because I knew the E-Z Pass data would exonerate me. Why would I care about the time I was pulled over unless I was thinking of how to prove my innocence? • The officer caught up to me in less than 30 seconds in 4/10ths of a mile. How is that possible from almost a stop if I was traveling at 90+ MPH as he stated? As he had no radar, it is his word against mine, and my EZ-Pass toll record, and the video showind a second car.

you need to tell the judge that there is no proof that i was speeding if he had no radar evidence. You are innocent, "till proven guilty"! You also noted that the other car was going 80 with no radar!

i did see a car infront of his truck on the right lane!It doesnt show that he passed you though! You were speeding and thats all!"GUILTY" for speeding!10 years in jail!lol

Yes... in court my ticket was reduced from thousands of dollars of penalty to only a 2 point violation. And, WTF do you mean by argue? He asked me why I was driving at 90 MPH. Should I just agree with him? The guy acted like a horses ASS both in court AND on the road. He lied under oath! A bold outright lie! But... the judge didn't believe him because he contradicted himself several times. Even the prosecuter knew that, because they dropped 12 point violation to 2 points!

No, in Jersey there are express lanes seperated by the regular lanes. The only difference is they don't have exits so cars arent constantly merging into and off the road which makes it "express." The cops was in the regular lane, the driver was in the express lane.

This video should be training of how NOT to treat a state trooper after being pulled over. Did you really think arguing with him on the side of the road was going to get you anywhere?

Yes, 5 mins is a big difference in your situation. That cam clock should be syncronized daily to make sure it's always accurate. I'm sure you are following the Shaun Malone case in Cali. It will be interesting to see what happens with that. I don't see how the court could ignore his GPS evidence.

FYI: The time on the video was wrong. That is very clear because when the voice on the radio states the time, there is about a 5 minute difference. Also, the time on the ticket reflects the time I was pulled over, finally matched by my GPS (accurate to within 1000th of a second). In court no one ever mentioned the time on the video as "proof" of anything. Apparently, they don't give much importance to that clock as 5 minutes off is a pretty big number. It works as a "relative time" indicator.
ChuckUFarIey (September 3, 2008 at 10:04 pm)
The timestamp on the video is 23:55 at the time he pulls you over, five minutes earlier than you stated. If your EZPass says 11:42, then you travelled 18 miles in 13 minutes, which adds up to 83MPH. However, the cop obviously had a bug up his ass and he should have allowed you to speak your piece in case you might incriminate yourself, but he felt you are hurting his case and he needs to fulfill his quota.
