That I can agree with you for sure!

Nah I'm not rich, middle class. I guess we'll agree to disagree.

sorry better brakes? havent you heard of brembo brakes? The sti is so close on performance to the base vette its not funny, the zo6 is a different story but so is price.I have a muscle car and a sti.But if I were rich like you and money and room for others was no big thing I would buy a vette too!

Let me explain the concept of performance per dollar with an example. A loaded Sti is around 38k out the door, while a base Vette is around 44k. The 6k extra is giving better brakes, better motor, etc. Essentially everything is better with the exception of passenger room and traction. A person would then weight out the differences, and come to the conclusion that best suites then. In our example (the best performance per dollar), the Vette is the better choice for performance.

God your dense
All three cars gas mileage are similar (the Vette actually gets better highway mileage)
If I live in an area without bad weather (like Florida), then I can indeed drive a Vette every day of the year. Then again with the performance tires on the Sti/Evo, you would certainly want to change them for winter driving.
The rest of your examples aren't performance related, there convenience related. I'm not speaking about convenience, I'm speaking about which car is better per dollar.

Well if you knew anything at all you would know dollar for dollar, you get more with the sti/evo all around then the vette. You can go everywhere with the sti/evo in any season. Get better gas milage.More people fit in the sti/evo and theres trunk space where the only thing the vette has going for it,is that its good on a track.

Lets see, the Corvette is a better car then the Sti/Evo proven time and time again. Even with all the facts available, you won't accept that. If anyone has the attitude of never being wrong, its you. I actually considered the Vette and had the chance to drive a couple. I liked the E46 M3 and Sti better (and got the M3 as a graduation gift). Guess what, the Vette is still a better car then my Bmw. . I don't even like Vettes, however answered the question you originally posed.

I've also watched video's on youtube of a person in stock Mustang Gt beating the Carerra Gt supercar. Does that mean that every Mustang can beat every Gt? No it just shows that in this particular case the driver of the Mustang was far more advanced then the Porsche driver (actually the Porsche driver just got this particular car, when the Mustang driver was an instructor). You used a poor example. Certain vehicles are better then others, and in my example the Vette is superior. |
