Umm, national championships are more important than 1 seeds. Gerry won a national championship. Don't say "it was Carmelo's", because Gerry did his part by scoring 18 points in the 1st half.

gerry mcnamara is still the most overrated player in bball... he had 4 games in the big east tourney thats it... syracuse has been the most overrated team in the big east and it shows and the selection committee knows it

Yea I remember watching the 2006 big east tournament, and Gerry Mcnamara had an outstanding performance to lead syracuse to a Big east title. After performing that great, it was a little surprising that he didn't impress professional scouts enough to get drafted that year.
