бесподобен пласидо доминго так же как и вся опера.

I had, I said had, this DVD and he does transposes other sections; however, he does sound hooted, pushed.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with you, but this is not transposed down. It is the original key.

This is very good...but Pavarotti's is magnificent

This was one of the most moving interpretations I've ever seen.

Domingo has never been able to performed difficult roles without transposing them first, his upper register sounds pushed and hooted and yet some people said he is the greatest. He's an overrated tenor the used opera to his benefit , some others like Kraus was better than him but didn't play the same bull shit like Domingo. Now be careful because Domingo's mob will lynch us together and offer our skin in holy sacrifice to his horrible technique. Now go and browse Domingo in Tarzan

Of course, this is a personal view and some other people probably have different expectations from music or understanding music experience. I respect Domingo but now he just doesn't completely fulfill my musical standards, but it doesn't mean that this couldn't be changed in the future and maybe I'll find in his performances something that is now hidden for me.

That's why most of his performances don't produce the kind of excitement I find crucial for listening to music. I don't like when someone's singing sounds too stringent for my ear - during my listening of some music it makes me frustrated to actually come to know that there is a singer singing a song, and I become aware of this only when something is not suitable enough for my ear, then the whole music experience vanishes and the problems of life start taking a leading role again.

I like his Manon Lescaut with Mirella Freni and Giuseppe Sinopolli ; his voice is extraordinary beautiful here, one of the most beautiful I have ever heard, but his performance depicts here, in my view, almost constant problem of Domingo's singing - HE DOESN'T PERFORM IN FULL VOICE - for example try to listen his ''Donna non vidi mai'' or ''Ah! Non m'avvicinate!'' - and not to mention his performance of Duca from Rigoletto

Of all Domingo's interpretation I have heard so far his Canio is probably near perfection, at least in my view of perfection. But, to be honest, that's something I don't expect from Domingo too often. I will try to illustrate his almost regular lack of certain kind of vocal perfection. |
