actually after watching again in full screen I retract that comment.
The diamond shape formed on top of the object is probably the internal iris aperture of the camera trying to focus.The way the object forms a barrel type shape and seems to almost cloak is quite remarkable.

very good artwork
all it is, is a drawing on a piece of paper and you just zoom in and out to get a good angle then move the camera about to give the sense of motion...
its not true.
