Im Irish, and yes what u said is true, the fact that it was outlawed by the British to the point of near extinction is one of the reasons its not widely spoken, but also the irish people for some reason dont have an interest in it. We're all taught it in school for 12 years, but alot of people hate it as a subject and have no interest. It's our official language and all road signs, public buildings etc. have Irish signs and Irish on them. Peronsonally I love Irish. Gaeilge agus Gaeilge amhain!

parrotfishko it seem that u dont know anythin about christmas, it was for people who worshiped the sun, they call it god sun, this was early in europe, n when christiannism came, this thing was considered as a pagan believe so they change it to the sun of God n they still celebrate it but in fact its a pagan believe haha, n jesus in the bible n in many scripture wasnt born in winter, he was born when the palmtrees gives its fruit, mean in the middle of the summer, so its just a sweet dream ..:)

Okay Scrooge. Christmas is most of the worlds favorite time of the year. The songs are beautiful and the feeling is unique. I agree that what people do with christmas is terrible "You must buy stuff, you can't not get things." It detracts from what Christmas really is. Just a warm, happy feeling. And it's not even that. It's Hanukkah, Eid Al-Fitr, Dilwali, I mean the list goes on. But people like you like to rant on about how the Holidays are stupid because I'm guessing you had a bad time at one
