Built in 1906 as a shelter for young wayward or orphaned girls, the Good Shepherd Center Chapel in Seattle provided a new sort of haven for two hundred Artists Den guests on a crisp autumn night. Now a Historic Seattle landmark and performance space, the intimate chapel is framed by high wooden arches, which were lit by candlelight while the latest incarnation of the Swell Season -- led by Academy Award winners, Glen Hansard and backed by Marketa Irglova on piano and two of Hansard's band mates from the Frames on bass and violin -- gave a special performance of their melodic, original songs, several of which were featured in the Fox Searchlight film Once. With a mission to "Make Life Creative," Ovation TV is a multiplatform network focused on entertaining, inspiring and engaging the artist in all of us by offering original and acquired programming focused on art, culture and personal creativity. The network is distributed via cable, satellite and telco, and is complemented with its popular broadband website (www.OvationTV.com).

Definitely! I saw them Wednesday at the Ryman and everything about them blew my mind! Even the violinist's solo (who has his own album) was just so unique and outstanding. These two rate up there with Radiohead and Interpol in greatness of performances live in my opinion.

Just saw them last night, and umm...wow. Most inspiring and passionate musical performance I have ever seen. Glen is incredibly talented and really funny on-stage. Such an amazing voice...really, all of them are amazing. Please go see them if they come anywhere near you!

I think this is an unfair comment. It is not natural for her. It is actually really fun to watch the difference between how she was during this versus how she is now. I saw them in may and she was a lot more confident. She even talked quite a bit. She is never going to be like glen and I think that is a good thing. There is only room for one big mouth in this duo. :) (i mean that with complete respect. i am a big mouth myself)
