This sounds like Miles Davis Kind of Blue era... I like it. It's jazzy.... really cool!

I love Pharaoh's band when Sanborn goes. I mean, the guy's got chops but he ain't in the same league as THE MAN.

I had to comeback on this. I love love Pharoah's face when Sanborn goes....I just wish we had this type of thing on TV and Cable now. Someone believes that nobody wants this. Poor fool!

Kenny garrett has pharaoh sanders as a guest on his album "Beyond the Wall", highly recommended, the title track has ridiculous solos from the entire group. I saw kenny live perform Beyond the Wall live but pharaoh wasnt there @_@

I saw Pharaoh and Kenny play together several times, they work together really magically. I'll never forget the show at the Blue Note in NYC where Pharaoh went off into his primal, soul yelps for an extended solo and Kenny came in afterwards and just took the whole place to church. It was divine...Definitely check them together if you have a chance.

If I could play like either of them I would quit my job IMMEDIATELY and be happy being a poor musician. Alas the time to practice escapes me. I wonder what K. Garrett would have sounded like instead of Sanborn. I love Garrett's phrasing

Everyones different. I thought Pharoah was solid and soulfull but I thought Sanborn really was outstanding. He really can play with anyone.
