Terry Slessor used to be the lead singer in our local North East band Beckett who supported Free at The Mayfair, Newcastle in 1973. Hi Janice - I remember that you enjoyed the gig immensely. Paul Rodgers threw his mic stand into the audience and an off-his-face Koss smashed the maple neck off his guitar hitting an amp or speaker stack with it!
He went on to front Charlie who did a rather good debut and second LP "Charlie" and "No Second Chance" and included Terry Thomas.

Magnificent discovery of old footage.
This album is one I often find myself humming...30 years after its release. What a great group.

Why ?? Is this song so hard to find ?? I use to have the album
with the snake on the cover (like the stage back drop on this
video) but like a dumb ass, dumped it along with all my other
vinyl L.P.'s when I moved years ago. Thanks for posting - this
version may be as close to the studio cut as we can get.

Thanks so much for posting this...saw them at the Mars Theater (W. Lafayette, Indiana) on a show with Nils Lofgren way back in the late 70's. Great band lost to history...I'm consistantly amazed at what pops up on YouTube! |
