i live in Cedar Rapids. off of east post on green valley indian creek got high luckily it didn't reach my house.

Doesn't matter if you had flood insurnace or not.The city of CR is still demanding that us devastated flood victims pay our upcoming property taxes on our flooded homes. Wonderful (callous)show of support there.

Some of these people do have insurance.... but not everybody can afford it. I know elderly people downtown who don't drink, smoke, play lottery, or watch nascar. They can't afford insurance and would be helpless if it wasn't for the strong community. When most of Cedar Rapids flood plain was evacuated, the river was estimated to rise to about 22-24 feet... it crested over 31 feet. There was no way they could have expected that serious of a flood. Backbone you're just an assfuck
