oh and since you live in sweden, one of the most democratic countries in the world, you arent aloud to be forcefed anything, even from your parents, had it been china i would understand. so lets see if anyone has a good answer to emli696's question... anyone?

you arent forcefed american culture, emli696 asks a good question, if u swedes dislike america so much(i know cause i hear it from everyone), why, oh Fing god whyyyy do you take after them? A fully normal person who disagrees/dislikes something stops doing it. america didnt force you to watch hollywood movies, that was your choice or your parents. why not speak british enlish, since you like their culture so much?

American english is waaay cooler than english-english, the "oxford" dialect is too posh and cockney is too hard to imitate.

I would think that most swedes (i know i did) learn the majority of their english from watching tv/movies and listening to music. Considering then that like 80% of all english shows/films shown in sweden are produced in america (same for the music), i would think a more american accent isn't that strange.

First of all the point of everyone learning english is to make them selves understod in other countries, and learning norweigen as a swede will not contribute to that will it now.
Second, there is no such thing as stupied questions, only stupied people that feels the need of making stupied remarks.

One might as well ask why we use the large amount of anglicisms that we do? Same reason - Being forcefed american "culture". :(
