Why do you think he says 'Ive been preparing this album my whole life by being too comfortable for most you listeners', he aint giving anyone what they want hes giving them an album long overdue to the industry, look at the rap community now, Nas is a father figure, his words have weight and certain issues and ideas are touched on now to project his wisdom. All people are saying is that this album hasnt lived up to Nas's predessecing albums, I dont think this album was intented to at all, in fact Nas probly knows what he did on Illmatic and It was wriiten is unrepeatable, by him and by any rapper. This albums not about hot songs or career revival, its an album crafted in the aim of delivering a message and a sign that solidifies Nas's place in Hip Hop, he is entitled to as he is now THE KING
