Can't compare fighter jets to a vehicle in engineering means. America is by no means "claiming" the existance of this vehicle as all you patriotic brits are quick to jump and start name calling america as a whole. American ingenuity meaning what the british was inspired by when making this product. Do your research before you blindly bash other countries without reason.

I Totally agree! British Flair? As if he's saying it was all down the the Americans? Well, no........ Once again the Brits have out classed the Americans. The Americans are too Patriotic and should realise that most engineering have come from British Engineers. Like the Harrier for instance, All British, the Merlin now to be the American presidents new helicopter, All British, And a new VTOL F-35? Where did this idea come from? Oh yes the good old Harrier, Oh yes that's British too!

i dunno what the point of even bringing F1(or cup car) engines into this discussion is, we are talking about 2 4 cylinder 16v economy car(albeit quick ones) engines, nascar still uses v8's based on the gen1 small block, and formula one engines dont even have camshafts anymore.. i guess i could ask, if the honda engine is so perfect, why does ariel need to add a supercharger to it?
robertmyers11 (August 23, 2008 at 2:37 am)
It's true the Honda engine shares no common parts with the F1 racer, but a 747 shares no parts with an F-22 Raptor, but the technology certainly passes on. If the EEK o Tech is so good why didn't Ariel use them to start with? Why does Caterham use Toyota engines and not GM parts? As far as the Cobalt SS being faster than the Civic Type R, I'm sure Honda would gladly put their F1 car up against any Chevy stock car in a race of acceleration, cornering or braking and even GASP! top speed.

ps. you may wanna check out the ring times for the cobalt ss and the civic type R, civic lookin a tad slow for a F1 car.... ROFL.
xfbishop (August 22, 2008 at 11:58 pm)
how many parts in common does a f1 car and a civic have?

"American ingenuity with some British flair" It was designed by a Brit in Britain? This fat guy just sells them. Americans really do talk ALOT of bullshit. The Ariel Atom, now available in the US, for when you want fast food really fast.

At least the Honda has some true racing DNA in its blood from Formula 1. Chevrolet has no Formula 1 DNA because they can not complete at that level of motorsport (the pinnacle) or they would be in the starting line up at Sundays race in Valencia. As it is I'm sure they are content to race NASCAR and go fast and turn left.
