You are right there was indeed evidence of him and his partner commiting the crime... But anyway I just love the song and the lyrics and that is about carter doesn't mather it could aswell be of 1 of the 1000 cases where a black man did get send to jail just because of black.... Just keep that in mind and the song is briljant.

kirihockey, you need to read up on this. There was plenty of evidence. All you folks that think this was racist need to get the facts straight. Two black men were seen leaving the bar, that is indisputable. The bar had the reputation of not serving blacks which was the motive for the killings.

How's come all the high speed lawyers in the world couldn't get Carter off? Could it be that he was guilty? Carter had been getting away with crimes because of his celebrity for a long time. It finally caught up with him. Dylan bought the bull.

The USA needs to change it's jury and law system into a system of truth. Using real people on a jury with compasion and understanding. Not hypocrats locked into a religion or part.
