Please, just let that racial stuff go. I cannot sing, but this song is MY ANTHEM! I know all the sadness and pain I will ever need to know. I haven't seen my best friend, my lover, for five years now. I will never be with another soul and I will wait for her just in case she might come back tomorrow, next year next decade...just maybe the last day I am around. And if she does just come back for one day, it will have been worth it. It is anyway. You just don't understand this song.

Seconded, fantastic song though. Otis was a born performer. You wouldn't hear a white guy singing this though, his voice is incredible! Full of sadness and pain. He really conveys his feelings through the medium of music.
