Is 16, so at this time it may be a good thing I don't have a kid.
However, I don't think that the world is a better place just because we have tricked our children into thinking that the world is a place of happy sunshine and god will make everything all right.

I'm sure you don't have any idea how the hippie movement in the 60's has anything to do with the change in values in America that has occured since that time.

Catudayz, obviously you don't have kids if you think family values are a joke.

Family values = A Joke

I dont think the 60's are responsible for those. There are many factors, largely political ad business deals that are responsible for welfare issues, lack of education is at fault for STD problems (which, last i checked, were actually lower than before in the US). I have no idea how the hippie movement in the 1960's has anything to do with illegitimate children and single parent families...

It's unfortunate that those soldiers died, but it certainly did no one any good.

The 60s is largely the reason why American has what it does have today--people with drug problems, welfare gone wild, the collapse of the family, all kinds of sexual diseases on the rise, rise in illegitimate children and single parent families, to name just a few. You act like it was only good things that came from the 60s, but it wasn't.
