The cop gave no warning before tasering and took no account of his victim's safety by shooting him so that he fell ON the highway where he could easily have been run over. On CBS Utah police as good as admit the policeman did not follow procedures. The victim was not read his rights. The police officer was one of those who hate being legitimately challenged- which any innocent person is fully entitled do to. This wasn't law enforcement - this was bullying.
Memo to self: Don't ever visit Utah.

The whole thing likely would have been avoided had the driver not argued the speeding allegation and FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS. A person who goes to battle with a cop on the street is going to lose. What sense is it to lose the battle and likely worsen the war? When the cop first approached his demeanor was as if he was likely going to give a warning. BUT the driver decided to argue over the speed limit sign. Court is the ONLY place you will win the war. Definitely a bad situation gone horrible.
