i was like 19. went down with a couple of friends. all the goings on were plastered all over the press. (nudity, dope music, camping out.) my folks said "you were there?" "yea" i remember john sebastian and the faces featuring rod stewart. funny, but i never went to too many concerts thru the years. that one week end was enough for a life time.

Yeah, West had a killer guitar sound, raw with roar. Sunn amps. Laing is one of the best hard rock drummers.

I was there that night, too.....saw them twice that summer.....Leslie West, Felix Papalardi, Corky Lainge....great band!

I saw them twice during the early 70's that band kicked ass! West was one of the greatest guitar players and had one of the best guitar sound ever in rock. Bands just don't sound like that anymore, soundmen have too much control for most bands to play with abandon and volume like that nowadays.
