to the person that said amy would do better, i pray your not talking about amy winehouse. because than im really gonna believe your an idiot who knows nothing of soul and blues music. I'm a soul singer, I'm making a demo right now. I grew up listening to soul, and amy winehouse and duffy and all of them, are CHEAP IMITATIONS of the original soul mistresses. Don't get me wrong their good, but amy is no etta james, or anita baker. And Amy is big band/jazz sounding, not soul. Get real soul music.

I saw New Orleans artist Irma Thomas this past weekend at a free concert at Lincoln Center here in NYC. She did this song and made me cry. She was the one who wrote the song "Time Is On My Side" which was made famous by the Rolling Stones.
