Actually, to this day, very few comics have sex on stage, though in my personal experience at home, it does seem to make my wife laugh more effectively than my jokes.
Anyway, the Smothers Brothers were well-known for their often very-blue double entendres. That they played the parts of well-scrubbed Mama's boys just made it that much funnier. ("A puma in the crevice!!!")
