I don't want you or anybody to suffer at all but some people do purely because you don't pray to Mecca 6 times a day and make your women dress like under a sheet. It's irrational and based on nothing more then 2000-year-old ink and people are suffering all around the world because of it. That's why I am hostile.

How about "Nick is a good person because he treats others the way he would like to be treated"and that's it. Not because I'm scared of hell of follow Jesus because I hate any kind of suffering. Why would anybody be cruel or unkind to anybody? To me it's mystery but what I do know is people who love God are blowing themselves up on busses, flying planes into buildings and starting wars in his name. What about Sarah Palin who said the war in Iraq was "a task that is from God" that's dangerous.

I wasn't questioning your moral character at all. Sorry if you got that impression. You seem very pleasant and easy-going, much like some of my non-Christian friends. The point I wanted to make is that we must have some standard we use to say "nb is a good person". You know, we say, "this athlete is good, the food is good, etc..." but we are comparing to something else. I wanted to know what you compare people (or god) to when you say they are good. What is the standard of good and evil?

delisandwitch, I am against the idea of God becuase people kill in his name and there is no evidence of his exsitance. Why do you think god is real? Because you have read a 2000 year old book with as much scientific reasoning as the Harry Potter. Anybody could have writtan it. When I was 11 I was christian but I read the Origon of spechies and the God Delusion and now I consider God just another fictonal charictor. But just think why would god make sin and hell if he loves you?

I treat others the way I would like to be treated. If you could save a life I hope that religon would't be the only reason why you did it. If that is the case then stay in church but what I really think is that you and me and most people are just good people. And I hope you don't think that I am any less of a person because I question God. Also I want you to know that if you where in trouble I could help I would and I hope you would do the same for me, but not just for God.

I see another potential problem in your worldview. Maybe you don't see it as a problem. "After all, I don't think he is a very good one" In order to say that, you must have some standard of morality, or of good and evil, or some way to judge God. Can you tell me what it is? Is the standard you are using the same for all people, or is just your own personal opinion. The point is this - Christianity says there is one standard or morality, coming from God. How about you?

nbarrett100 why are you so against God and the Gospel? Im a devoted christian myself, and I believe that God is real. Im an 11 year old, and waiting to be baptized. And backing up WorshipVideo,nobody saw the Big Bang, but also no one saw the making of the heavens and earth. The thing about christians is belief, but explain this: scientists found the ruins of the city Jericho with the walls falling out.If you don't know the story, research it.
