Here is a list of drummers that are LIGHT YEARS ahead of Neil Peart's ability (in no order;
Buddy Rich Louie Bellson Tony Williams Dave Weckl Dennis Chambers Bill Stewart Steve Smith
Billy Cobham Virgil Donati Thomas Lang Vinnie Colaiuta Steve Gadd Alan Dawson Joe Morello Dafnis Prieto Carter Beauford Jack DeJohnette
Dom Famularo Trilok Gurtu Antonio Sanchez
And this list is by NO MEANS complete. If you like Neil fine, but he can't hold a candle to the drummers on this list.

i geuss your right the angle was construed cuz you still cant see two beaters.

Too bad you can only comprehend simple rhythms and have no idea what Zakir does.

Sure I can compare Zakir and Neil. They both play rhythms on drums. Doesn't matter what KIND of drums. Zakir's ideas and rhythms and chops are so far advanced above Neil that Neil's rhythms, ideas and chops sound as if he just started learning the drums in comparison. Give me as many thumbs down for this post as you want. Facts are facts. Just because someone likes an artist above all others does not mean that they are the "best". THERE ARE NO BESTS. Peart groupies should deal with it.

There is a difference between being the best drummer in the world, and actually sounding good.
Sure, this might be the best, but does it sound good? Hell no!

Amazing, you are not just a drummer, you are an excellent musician, really, a very good example of perfection in the music, thanks for this inspiration. |
