I love gretschs,but honestly,most of them play like an acoustic,they have good intonation,but the have high action,theyre hard to bend,but their solid bodies are easy to play.Ive played Gretsch hollow bodies,and I can see how that would limit John based on how he solos high on the neck.Gretschs are great,but Fenders are the best.Bar none.Dont try to tell me different.Look at all the amazing Fender players,Hendrix,SRV,EVH,Clapton
,Yngwie,Johnson,Mayer,Scotty anderson.....Theyre just that good.

As much as I miss the White Falcon, you can really hear how much better the solos in Californication have gotten. It's almost like Frusciante was limited with what he could do with the Gretsch.
