Keitel? I had heard of Steve Martin being considered for the Dr. Bill part, and Alec Baldwin, but not Keitel. Keitel did film scenes as Ziegler which were then replaced with Pollack.

I'm suprised that when this came out it got mixed reviews from fans and critics. Maybe not as violent as Clockwork, but I find it more disturbing.

i completely agree with you, back in the 80's when Kubrick was think about this film, after The Shining, he wanted Harvey Keitel as tom cruise's character, and Keitel would have been much better, but your right about the Cruise part

I think it`s a great story...and the direction is awesome... But There`s great actors that could`ve been so much better doing that role than tom cruise. He`s ok, but not conveincing me at all.
