this has got to be the best footage yet. Imagine, George and Ringo composing. I've never seen that before. Do you know who shot this footage? Thanks a mil!

You are right, it was on the apple building in London on 30th Jan. Iv'e been misinformed ALL my life, (sniff!) that the Fab Four played out of America on the day of my birth, 31st Jan 69, as their last american live concert! Dang oldies!

Did The Beatles play on the roof of the Apple building on 31st Jan 1969, and was it their last US appearance?

It's originally from the film "Let it Be" directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in 1970 --- The filmed account of the Beatles's attempt to recapture their old group spirit by making a back to basics album, which instead drove them further apart. -- This film is no longer available, but if you do get a copy make sure you get the full 81 minutes.

George helped with "It Don't Come Easy" for Ringo to sing and let Ringo take credit for it. There are recordings with George singing it like as a guide so Ringo could know how to sing it.

Its funny to note that all musicians do the same thing when you have some downtime and the drummer tries a different instrument. Someone will always make their way behind the drumset and jam along

He adopted her.
