Sure. In Chinese--until recently at least--S-P is just one subset of many. That is just one aspect. Interestingly enough the mainland Chinese, without knowing it, are actually changing Chinese grammar to fit Chomsky. The Chinese Chomskyites, therefore, are in a hilarious recursion to some very large degree.
