Saying white WV voters are a microcosm of white voters overall implies that they're an accurate representation on a smaller scale. You yourself pointed out that they're very backwards compared to many other parts of the country. I honestly can't say I have the best view on how race effects politics in the States, because I'm from a country where race isn't really a factor one way or the other. Here, the vast majority of voters, including white voters, vote solely on the issues.

Yes, I do. People don't like anything that is different or foreign to them particularly people of color. You should think about microcosm in the aspect of being a minority and understanding biracial politics. I'm not trying to start a war with anybody about this, but I do know what it means because I've experienced racism. Whites are uneasy about voting for a black man and you will see this all over the country, there is no denying it.

I'm from Fairmont, I know the news media would rather interview people from the "home of the Hillbillies" than interview a college town where people might know what they are talking about. As a westvirginian myself. There are just some people in this state that should not be allowed on camera.... Every state has them... but leave it to the news to find the biggest redneck in the entire state to put on national tv. But all being said in the northern part of the state we believe that obama may have a better plan then clinton. but it is truely sad to say that most of the southern part of the state is less educated then rest of the state
