And don't forget that many of those games could have been worse, had the starters not been pulled. The 77-14 blasting of Iowa State in 1997 is more like what you'd expect as a score over Harvard, and still it could have been a lot worse. This video proves that hard work and old fashioned brute strength beats a flashy offense any day of the week.

Big 12 was awesome that year.
Nebraska 12-0
Colorado 10-2 only losses to 12-0 NU and 10-2 KU
Kansas State 10-2 only losses to 12-0 NU and 10-2 CU
Kansas 10-2 only losses to 12-0 NU and 10-2 KSU

What's your point of coming on a Husker vid and talking all this trash? You're making yourself look like an idiot.

You know what's even funnier? Lee Corso and those clowns on ESPN were lauding this Florida team as the greatest of all time that year. They were beating opponents by 30 or so points a game, and the "Fun N Gun" was supposedly superior to any "1950s running game" like NU had.
They forgot that NU had smashed their opponents even worse than Florida had. NU was not only faster, they were bigger, stronger, tougher, and most importantly, just plain better.

01CanesGOAT and I just agree to disagree. I have the utmost respect for him as an opponent.
daFBtigga136 lost any respect I had after he said, "Kansas has always been pretty good." They were good this past year, they were ok (I guess) in 2005, they were good in 1995... and then you have to go all the way back to John Riggins in the 1960s to find a good KU team.

01CanesGOAT, here we go again, I guess. :)
In 1995 NU beat four teams that finished the season in the Top Ten.
In 2001, Miami beat one team in the final Top Ten.
In 1987, Miami beat two teams in the final Top Ten. South Carolina was #15, Notre Dame was #17, and Arkansas was no longer in the polls.

Another Thing I'd like to throw in the mix.
NU Fans always say: "NU Beat 4 Top 10 Teams"
Well heres a little Nugget to chew on:
1987 Miami played 5 Top 10 Teams: Beating them by a collective score of 141-62. On their way to being Crowned Consensus National Champions. So if we follow Husker fans logic. 1987 Miami Hurricanes are the G.O.A.T.

Blah, blah, blah. 95 Huskers best ever. |
