¿NoEntiende usted Inglés? soon we'll all be sayings we're on a Mexican Radio. I don't think this song or Wall Of Voodoo was as political as it seems to be these days. Usted Comprende?

When this song came out I was 12 years old and had just relocated from Omaha, Nebraska to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe was so different from Omaha I felt like I was living on another planet. "Mexican Radio" became my personal anthem at the time, expressing the total mixture of fascination and dissonance I felt with my new home. It's 26 years later. I live in Albuquerque now and have more or less "gone native". I still love this song as much as I ever did.
