it takes your picking and makes it all the same volume. without it if you picked really hard it would be louder, if you picked softer it wouldnt be near as loud. it makes it all the same volume if not very similar. and to get a mod you can either do it yourself or buy one from the robert keeley website or ebay(used)

hey I'm just wondering when exactly do you use the compressor clean/overdrive, fingerpicking, strumming, etc. Thanks man, I'm trying to decide if I need a compressor or not.

Hey dude, great stuff.. how do you manage to use the sliding shelf? by that i mean how do you keep the cables clean and from getting pulled out when you pull the shelf? do you just leave slack? i'm just putting together my rack rig (im still waiting for the GCX audio switcher which is backordered ughh!) anyways just wondering if you did anything different about it, thanks.
