As a whole rap is not as good as it was in the mid 2 late 90's.There isn't any place now 4 groups like Mobb Deep, OGC. I remember when I had to choose btw gettin Nas, Mobb Deep or Keith Murray's new shit. Never happens now. All u need now is a good hook and a beat. Way too many one hit wonders. No real lyrics. I mean whatever happened 2 mixtapes. Wayne has done it, I'll give you that. Times have changed.
