Gosh to everyone who's still discussing this matter: It's true patroclus was his lover. But in the film it doesn't appear that way, you see do you seriously believe that the producers would risk the hundreds of thousands of underaged people looking at two gays making out? and as a result get the same feedback as brokeback mountain? Plus at that time it was normal. There were "beautiful boys". If you've seen Alexander you might have realized this. Incest was "normal" back then.

this movie bored me. It wasn't the fights, just the fact that it was way too long. not even 1/2 way through the movie and I was already sleeping.
