this wasn't banned. i had this on a VHS of cartoons from the movie. i watched them all the time when i was little. and i think i've since it on TV too. not sure though.

You can tell at what point in the war this was made. On the telegram, the "apes of wrath" has Mussolini "X"-ed out. Good use of annotations, since on many prints, the text on the cue cards is faded. (What "fourth wall"?) BTW: This cartoon is in public domain, since the copyright lapsed before Warner Brothers (never) got around to renewing it.
