An oxymoron is when you put two opposite words together, like "dark light". She probably meant to say pleonasm, i.e. the use of two similar words to make a point more clearly (for example UNTRUE RUMOR...). Now if she hadn't been a fucking dumbass, that would have been mildly funny)
