They've done a lot of dances to music that wasn't the same style. The song doesn't have to be hiphop to be the dance style, and there are so many types of hip hop (smooth, pop, etc) that they blended here. It's lyrical hip hop. Just because they aren't humping the air to gansta rap doesn't mean it's not valid.

THIS SHOW SUCKS! because my friend made it all the way until the couple choosing time and he is one of the best hip hop, ballet, modern, tap, lyrical..... dancers i have ever seen. He NEVR got a No, NEVER had to dance for his life and still got put in the group that got denied...........know why? because all the people who got chosen could ham it up and create drama and were camera ready. Fuck dancing this show is called "so you think you can get ratings?"
