Thanks for upload. I'm pretty familiar with this film and I don't love it but I'm struggling to see why you say we might think it was shit. It's dated but I think it does pretty well, good sets good acting. Not the most philosophically solid adaptation but hey. Btw take a look at Children of Men for a more recent and horribly accurate grim-dystopian-London...

I read the book, which the movie is based on.
Lets hope that this would never happen

the only thing i find a bit off is the telescreen's size. they made it seem like a small tv in the book

no blue-overalls for everybody, no exercises in the morning, no BIG screens watching you, no other unnecessary signals of being under dictatorship ...for the rest we are already in it.

The cinematographer is Roger Deakins, who has been the director of photography for all of the Coen Brothers' films since _Barton Fink_. He is also responsible for the filtering that renders the colors like this. Remember - no computer digital enhancement at this point. Just knowing how to use film.

For the people who claim this movie is bad i think this is pretty much a very accurate translation of the book to the screen may not be a work of art in terms of film but its very accurate

Even if it happen, it is not viable.
Because they will never be able to achieve their real goal, which is to kill what makes us within our-self deep inside.
Peace
