But, you just told me the "state" is controlled by the corporations. So, why don't you explain the drill.

Evil will not, must not triumph! we are, the good people, we are the one who must bear the burden of this twilight struggle.. nothing is more important than this!!! this is not a call to bear arms no arms we need not a call to battle not embattled we are but a call to voice a dissent a call to dispute and refute this current disgraceful administration yet a powerful dissent voiced in civil manner and under the rule of laws and directed to the highest institutions of this great republic!

Problem is that people see a capitalist country and then complain about what its government does and label that simply as "GOVERNMENT"""" EVIL!!1111!!!!11111!1!!!!!!!11
What you should be arguing against is Capitalism.

Right. Government control. I get it.

They're called laws and regulations. They are set by the state in the name of "The People". You know the drill.

Dan Rather was not fired. My point is that he and his producers lied and knew they were lying. People like you who believe "no television news channels are liberal" would have just bought the story if it hadn't been questioned by those outside the mainstream media. Dan Rather sued DBS for $70 million for making him the scapegoat when they were all in it together.
lisabob22 (August 12, 2008 at 1:53 pm)
Dan Rather was fired because he didn't kiss the corporate media asses. It is nothing but propaganda that the mainstream media is liberal. Some newspapers are, but no television news channels are liberal or even closw to it, they all are owned by huge corporations.
I make my decisions my checking the facts as much as possible, and I find that the "conservatives" lie much more than the "liberals". The NEo-cons are about Anti-American as you can get
dasekulich (August 12, 2008 at 1:13 pm)
Dan Rather didn't wasn't fired for not lying. His network encouraged him to lie. They encouraged it because it fit with their liberal cause. What you have to be aware of is that Fox is under fire from all liberal sides (colleges, etc) because it is the only mainstream network that ever voices the conservative viewpoint. As far as who I trust, I listen to a variety of news including talk radio and I make my own decisions based on what makes sense.
lisabob22 (August 12, 2008 at 3:34 am)
Fox is the only one that has fired people for refusing to lie as far as I know.
They won in appeal because they argued there is no law against lying . And they won.
So do you trust what Fox says now?
Personally I don't trust any of what the corporate media says, they all have a agenda, and it's not telling us the truth. |
